FAIL: Check the disk, it did not overwrite correctly. (nn%)
The progress bar immediately turned red and presented this message: FAIL: Check the disk, it did not overwrite correctly. (nn%)
What does it mean?
It is not uncommon for the GUI to indicate that a disk drive has failed immediately. This can occur for several reasons, but primarily is due to the GUI reporting eradication processing operations in more or less real time. So, a FAIL indication may be just the result of one of several sequential operations that take place to perform an eradication.
If this happens, it is recommended that you view the Live Web Report to ensure that the disk drive is still processing. In all cases, though, you should allow for all disk drives in the session to complete as it is often found that Progress status will change as eradication processing operations update throughout the session.
Remember that the log file(s) for the disk drives should be reviewed after every eradication session to conclusively determine the status of the disk drive - do NOT rely solely on the results displayed via the GUI.
